Present: Senator Ann H. Rest - Chair, Senator Matt D. Klein - Vice Chair, Senator D. Scott Dibble, Senator Steve Drazkowski, Senator Kari Dziedzic, Senator Grant Hauschild, Senator Jeremy R. Miller, Senator Carla J. Nelson, Senator Aric Putnam, Senator Bill Weber

Senator Ann H. Rest called the meeting to order at 8:32am.

Call to Order.


Adoption of the minutes from 3/13/24

Minutes from March 13, 2024, were adopted as presented. 


S.F. 1949: Senator Klein: Lawful sports betting establishment and appropriation.

Senator Putnam offered the A104 Amendment. The motion prevailed and the A104 Amendment was adopted.

Senator Dibble offered the A110 Amendment. Senator Nelson requested a roll call and a roll call was granted.

Senator Dziedzic - Nay

Senator Hauschild - Nay

There being 2 aye votes and 8 nay votes, the motion failed, and the A110 Amendment was not adopted.

Senator Dibble offered the A109 Amendment. The motion failed and the A109 Amendment was not adopted.

Senator Dibbler offered the A108 Amendment. The motion failed and the A108 Amendment was not adopted. 


Senator Klein moved that S.F. 1949, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

The gavel was transferred to Vice-Chair Klein.

S.F. 4430: Senator Hauschild: Child care providers that rent a child care facility property tax refund program establishment and appropriation.

Senator Hauschild offered the A1 Amendment. The motion prevailed and the A1 Amendment was adopted.

Senator Klein moved that S.F. 4430, be laid over. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 4522: Senator Rest: Certain Tax Expenditure Review Commission requirements modifications and new or renewed tax expenditures legislative requirements repealer.

Senator Weber presented S.F. 4522 on behalf of Senator Rest.


Senator Klein moved that S.F. 4522, be laid over. - MOTION PREVAILED.
