Present: Senator Ann H. Rest - Chair, Senator Matt D. Klein - Vice Chair, Senator D. Scott Dibble, Senator Steve Drazkowski, Senator Jeremy R. Miller, Senator Carla J. Nelson, Senator Aric Putnam, Senator Bill Weber

Absent: Senator Kari Dziedzic, Senator Grant Hauschild

Senator Ann H. Rest called the meeting to order at 8:34am.

Call to order.


Adoption of the minutes from 3/12/24.

Minutes from March 12, 2024, were approved as presented. 


S.F. 3670: Senator Oumou Verbeten: Controlled substances and illegal cannabis tax repeal and other technical changes provision.

Senator Klein offered the A2 Amendment. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted.

Senator Klein moved that S.F. 3670, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 4552: Senator Dornink: Minnesota education income tax credit eligible expenses expansion.

Testifier:

Senator Rest moved that S.F. 4552, be laid over. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 4216: Senator Weber: Certain leased land property tax exemption provision.

The gavel was transferred to Vice-Chair Klein.

S.F. 4115: Senator Rest: Property tax abatement for land bank property authorization.

Senator Rest offered the A1 Amendment. The motion prevailed and the A1 Amendment was adopted.
