Senator Robert J. Kupec called the meeting to order at 12:36pm.

S.F. 3948: Senator McEwen: Surgical smoke evacuation system policies requirement.

Senator Jen McEwen presented Senate File 3948.

 

The following witnesses testified in favor of passing SF3948:

            Ann Jones, Retired perioperative Registered Nurse

            Angela Ruhter, perioperative Registered Nurse Discussion.

 

Senator McEwen moved that SF3948 be recommended to pass and placed on the Consent Calendar.

                The motion carried along a voice vote.

 

The gavel was passed to Chair McEwen.

Senator McEwen moved that S.F. 3948, be recommended to pass and placed on the Consent Calendar. - MOTION CARRIED.

S.F. 3850: Senator Pappas: Provisions modification relating to occupational health and safety.

Senator Sandy Pappas presented Senate File 3850.

 

Laura Zajac, Deputy Chief of Counsel, Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry testified in favor of SF3850.

 

Discussion.

 

Senator Pappas moved that SF3850 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Senate Judiciary and Public Safety Committee.

            The motion carried along a voice vote.
