Present: Senator Ron Latz - Chair, Senator Clare Oumou Verbeten Vice Chair, Senator Jim Carlson, Senator Justin D. Eichorn, Senator Jeff R. Howe, Senator Michael E. Kreun, Senator Warren Limmer, Senator Sandra L. Pappas, Senator Judy Seeberger, Senator Bonnie S. Westlin

Senator Ron Latz called the meeting to order at 8:52a Oumou Verbeten took gavel at 8:56a Recess at 12:13p Resume at 12:53p (Oumou Verbeten has the gavel)

Testimony is limited to 2 minutes/speaker and will be divided as equitably
     as possible between pro and con positions on each bill.
     
     Requests for testimony must be submitted through the form here:

     This form will close to requests at 11 a.m. on Wednesday March 22.
     Individuals/representatives of organizations which receive allocated time
     to testify will be notified by 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22. Late
     requests may not be accommodated.



Written testimony must meet the following requirements to be included in
     member and staff packets:
     
     1 page, single sided PDF. Word documents will not be accepted.
     
     File names must include the bill number and a pro or con position – IE:
     SF0000 Position Organization.pdf
     
     If the letter is submitted on behalf of an organization, that must be
     disclosed in the file’s name as well.



Documents which fail to meet the above criteria or are submitted after the
     deadline will not be included.
     
     No handouts will be accepted or duplicated by staff during the hearing.

S.F. 1117: Senator Latz: Law enforcement and family members permission to petition a court to prohibit people from possessing firearms if they pose a significant danger to themselves or others by possessing a firearm.
