Senator Jennifer A. McEwen called the meeting to order at 12:38pm.

Call to Order


S.F. 1939: Senator Xiong: Limitation of use of certain designated refrigerants prohibition.

Senator Tou Xiong joined the witness stand to present Senate File 1939.

 

Chair Jennifer McEwen moved to adopt the A-2 authors amendment.

            The motion passed on a voice vote and the amendment adopted.

 

Chair McEwen moved to adopt the A-1 authors amendment.

            The motion passed on a voice vote and the amendment adopted.

 

The following witnesses testified in favor of S.F. 1939:

Discussion.

 

Senator Bill Lieske moved to recommend the bill as amended, and that it be re-referred to the Senate Committee on Energy, Utilities, Environment & Climate.

            The motion carries on a voice vote.

 

Senator Lieske moved that S.F. 1939, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Energy, Utilities, Environment, and Climate Committee. - MOTION CARRIED.

S.F. 116: Senator Rarick: Exemption clarification from inspections for load control allowed for electrical utilities.

Senator Jason Rarick joined the witness stand to present Senate File 116.

 

Senator Lieske moved to adopt the A-1 authors amendment.

            The motion passed on a voice vote and the amendment adopted.

Senator Gene Dornink moved to recommend the bill as amended, and that it be placed on General Orders.

Senator Gruenhagen offered the A-2 amendment.

            The A-2 amendment fails along a voice vote, and the amendment is not adopted.

 

Senator John Marty moved that S.F. 2319 as amended be recommended for passage and re-referred to the Senate Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection.

            The motion was adopted on a voice vote.

 

Senator Marty moved that S.F. 2319, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Consumer Protection Committee. - MOTION CARRIED.
