Senator Erin P. Murphy called the meeting to order at 1:03 pm.

Budget overview from the Office of the Attorney General

Presentation from Attorney General Keith Ellison. 


S.F. 1431: Senator Frentz: Certain labor agreements and memorandums of understanding ratification.

Senator Frentz presented SF 1431.

 

Testimony was heard from Michelle Weber from the Legislative Coordinating Commission. 

 

 

Chair Murphy moved SF 1431 be recommended to pass and re-referred to General Orders. 

Motion prevailed with voice vote. 


Senator Murphy moved that S.F. 1431, be recommended to pass. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 1616: Senator Pappas: SEIU healthcare agreement ratification.

Senator Pappas moved SF 1616, Chair Murphy moved the A1 amendment. 

Motion prevailed with voice vote

 

Testimony was heard from Michelle Weber, MN Legislative Coordinating Commission; Andrea Hanek, SEIU member; Jennifer Claseman, Minnesota Management and Budget; Elyse Bailey, Department of Human Services.

 

Chair Murphy moved SF 1616, as amended, be recommended to pass.

Motion prevailed with voice vote.

S.F. 413: Senator Pappas: Minnesota Secure Choice Retirement Program Act.

Senator Pappas presented SF 413.

 

Chair Murphy moved the A3 amendment. 

Motion prevailed with voice vote. 

 

Testimony was heard from Beth Kadoun, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce;Susan Lenczewski, Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement; Erik Forsberg, small business owner.

S.F. 2164: Senator Hauschild: State employee salaries appropriation in the event of nonappropriation.

Senator Hauschild presented 2164. Testimony was heard from Devin Bruce, MAPE; Cathleen Cotter, MAPE member.

 

Chair Murphy laid SF 2164 over for possible inclusion in omnibus bill. 


Senator Murphy moved that S.F. 2164, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
