Senator Erin P. Murphy called the meeting to order at 12:36 pm.

Call to Order


S.F. 455: Senator Carlson: Open meeting from a nonpublic location participation conditions modification.

Senator Carlson presented SF 455.

 

Testimony was heard from Dan Buchholtz, City Administrator for Spring Lake Park Matt Massman, executive director of MN inter-county association.

 

Senator Carlson moved SF 455.

 

Motion prevailed with unanimous voice vote. 


Senator Carlson moved that S.F. 455, be recommended to pass. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 1261: Senator Maye Quade: Recommendations adoption of the Advisory Task force on State Employment and Retention of Employees with Disabilities.

Senator Maye Quade moved the A1 amendment. 

 

Motion prevailed with unanimous voice vote. 

 

Testimony was heard from Trevor Turner of the MN Council on Disability 

 

Senator Maye Quade moved SF 1261 as amended be recommended to pass and re-referred to Jobs and Economic Development Committee. 

 

Motion prevailed with divided voice vote. 


Senator Maye Quade moved that S.F. 1261, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the Jobs and Economic Development Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 1046: Senator Fateh: Minnesota Council on Disability appropriation to provide outreach, training, assistance and auditing related to local government website accessibility.

Senator Fateh moved SF 1046. 

 

Testimony was heard from Trevor Turner, MN Council on Disability, and Daniel Lightfoot, League of Minnesota Cities. 

 

Senator Koran moved an oral amendment: 

 

1.10 delete "and" then insert a comma

1.11 after the comma insert "and the Minnesota Association of Townships"

1.11 + 1.16 after "cities" insert ", townships,"

1.19 after "counties" insert ", townships,"

2.4 + 2.26 after "cities" insert ", townships,"

 

Motion prevailed with voice vote. 

 

Senator Fateh moved SF 1046 be recommended to pass, as amended, and referred to Human Services Committee. 

 

Motion prevailed with voice vote.

S.F. 1308: Senator Murphy: Administrative changes to the statutes governing the retirement plans administered by the Minnesota State Retirement System authorization.

SF 1308 was not presented in committee this date. 


Senator Murphy moved that S.F. 1308, be laid on the table.
