Senator Julie A. Rosen called the meeting to order at 8:36 A.M., on April 5, 2022, in Room 1200 of the Minnesota Senate Building. A quorum was present.

S.F. 2673: Senator Limmer: Courts sentencing a person without regard to the mandatory minimum sentence applicable to certain designated crimes involving firearms prohibition.

Senator Limmer presented SF 2673. 

Chris Turner, Senate Fiscal Analyst, and Ken Backhus, Senate Counsel, reviewed the budget and language. 

Senator Ingebrightsen moved the A60 Amendement. On a voice vote, the motion prevailed and the A60 AMEDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Senator Champion moved the A52 Amendment. Amendment withdrawn. 

Senator Mary moved the A59 Amendment. On a voice vote, the motion did not prevail and the A59 Amendment was not adopted. 

Senator Rosen recessed at 10:22 A.M. 

Senator Rosen reconvened at 1:07 A.M. 

Senator Champion moved the A52 Amendment. On a voice vote, the motion did not prevail and the A52 Amendment was not adopted. 

Senator Champion moved the A53 Amendment. 

Senator Champion moved an oral amendment to the A53 Amendment as follows: 

Line 1.2, delete "$10,000,000" and insert "$5,000,000". Incorporated. 

Senator Champion renewed the motion to adopt the A53 Amendment, as amended. On a voice vote, the motion prevailed and the A53 AMENDMENT, AS AMENDED, WAS ADOPTED. 

Senator Marty moved the A55 Amendment. On a voice vote, the motion did not prevail and the A55 Amendment was not adopted. 

Senator Marty moved the A58 Amendment. Amendment withdrawn. 

Senator Kent moved the A56 Amendment. 

Senator Kent moved an oral amendment to the A56 Amendment as follows: 

Line 1.2, Delete $3,000,000, Insert $2,000,000. Incorporated. 

Senator Kent renews motion to adopt the A56 Amendment, as amended. On a voice vote, the motion prevailed and the A56 AMENDMENT, AS AMENDED, WAS ADOPTED. 

Senator Kent moved the A57 Amendment. On a voice vote, the motion did not prevail and the A57 Amendment was not adopted. 

Senator Ingebrigtsen moved that S.F. 2673, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION PREVAILED.
