Present: Senator Jason Rarick - Chair, Senator Gene Dornink - Vice Chair, Senator Michael P. Goggin, Senator Jason Isaacson, Senator Jennifer A. McEwen

Absent: No Members Absent

Committee Chairman, Senator Jason Rarick called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. A quorum was present.

S.F. 295: Senator Draheim: Radon licensing activities regulation transfer to the commissioner of labor and industry; appropriation.

Senator Rarick moved that S.F. 295, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance and Policy and Elections Committee.

Discussion.

 

Senator Rarick renewed his motion that S.F. 295, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance and Policy and Elections Committee.

 

Senator Isaacson requested a roll call vote on S.F. 295. The results were as follows:

 

AYES: Senator Rarick, Senator Dornink, Senator Goggin

 

NAYS: Senator McEwen, Senator Isaacson

 

On a vote of 3 AYES and 2 NAYS, THE MOTION PREVAILED.

 


S.F. 1547: Senator Jasinski: Department of Labor and Industry study of the adequacy of benefits for disabled or injured police officers requirement.

Senator Rarick moved that S.F. 1547 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Jobs and Economic Growth Finance and Policy Committee.

 

Senator Pratt presented S.F. 1547 on behalf of bill author Senator Jon Jasinski

 

Senator Rarick moved the A-1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED and the A-1 AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

S.F. 2698: Senator Cwodzinski: Safety nets installation requirement in certain stadiums.

Senator McEwen moved S.F. 2698 before the committee. Senator McEwen moved the A-1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED and the A-1 AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

 

Senator Cwodzinski presented S.F. 2698.
