Present: Senator Roger C. Chamberlain - Chair, Senator Justin D. Eichorn Vice Chair, Senator Julia E. Coleman, Senator Steve Cwodzinski, Senator Zach Duckworth, Senator Jason Isaacson, Senator Mary K. Kunesh, Senator Scott J. Newman, Senator Charles W. Wiger

Senator Roger C. Chamberlain called the meeting to order at 3:05

S.F. 1525: Senator Chamberlain: Education Savings Accounts for Students Act; appropriations.

Senator Chamberlain offers the scs1525a-4 amendment to SF 1525. It passed on a voice vote. Senator Chamberlain then presented SF 1525, as amended, to the committee. 

Senator Wiger asked for a roll call vote on the passage of SF 1525, as amended, to Finance.

The roll was called 

Vote was 5-4. SF 1525, as amended is moved to Finance


Senator Eichorn moved that S.F. 1525, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee.

S.F. 2011: Senator Duckworth: Independent School District # 191; Burnsville-Eagan-Savage fund transfer authorization.

Senator Duckworth presented SF 2011.

Senator Chamberlain moved that S.F. 2011, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee.

S.F. 3107: Senator Duckworth: School board members employed by a school district maximum earnings increase.

Senator Duckworth presented SF 3107

Senator Duckworth moved that S.F. 3107, be recommended to pass.

S.F. 362: Senator Cwodzinski: High school graduation requirements to include personal finance.

Senator Cwodzinski presented SF362.

It was laid on the table.


Senator Chamberlain moved that S.F. 362, be laid over.
