Senator Julie A. Rosen called the meeting to order at 6:16pm.

S.F. 2075: Senator Senjem: Public utility reporting requirement modification.

Casey Muhm, Senate Counsel Fiscal Analyst, gave a walkthrough of the budget spreadsheet.
Carlyn Doyle Fontaine, Senate Counsel Legislative Analyst, gave a walkthrough of the bill in relation to the Finance
Committee jurisdiction in SF2075.

Senator Senjem introduced SF2075.
Senator Ingebrigtsen moved the a17 Amendment.
Discussion.
The a17 amendment was adopted.
Temporary Commissioner of the Department of Commerce, Grace Arnold, gave testimony.
Discussion.
SF2075 was taken off the table and amended into SF972.

Senator Rosen moved that S.F. 2075, as amended, be laid over. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 972: Senator Dahms: Commerce and energy policy and finance provisions.

Senator Dahms introduced SF 972.
Senator Benson moved the a11 Amendment.
Casey Muhm, Senate Counsel Fiscal Analyst, walked through the budget spreadsheet.
Chris Stang, Senate Counsel Legislative Analyst, walked through the bill.
Discussion.
Senator benson renewed her motion on the a11 Amendment.
The a11 amendment was adopted.
Temporary Commissioner of the Department of Commerce, Grace Arnold, gave testimony.
Discussion.
Senator Benson moved SF2075 be taken off the table and be incorporate into SF972.
Motion prevailed, SF2075 was incorporated into SF972.


Senator Ingebrigtsen moved that S.F. 972, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 975: Senator Tomassoni: Higher education policy and finance provisions.

Senator Tomassoni introduced SF975.
Hannah Grunwald, Senate Counsel Fiscal Analyst, provided a walkthrough of the fiscal portions of the bill and the budget spreadsheet.
Joan White, Senate Counsel Legislative Analyst, provided a walkthrough of the bill.
Senator Ingebrigtsen moved the a12 Amendment.
Amendment was adopted.
Discussion.
Commissioner Office of Higher Education, Dennis Olson, gave testimony and answered questions.
Senator Ingebrigtsen moved the a13 Amendment.
Discussion.
Senator Ingebrigtsen renewed his motion. Motion prevailed the a13 Amendment was adopted.

Senator Ingebrigtsen moved the a16 Amendment.
The a16 Amendment was adopted.
Senator Marty moved the a17 Amendment.
Discussion.
Roll call requested for the a17 amendment, roll call was granted.

Senators voting no: Rosen, Ingebrigtsen, Benson, Kiffmeyer, Pratt.
With there being 5 no's and 4 yes', The a17 Amendment was not adopted.

Senator Ingebrigtsen moved that S.F. 975, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION PREVAILED.
