Senator Gary H. Dahms called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. A quorum was present.

S.F. 972: Senator Dahms: Commerce and energy policy and finance provisions.

Chairman Dahms passed the gavel to Vice-Chair Utke. Senator Dahms moved Senate File 972 before the committee. Senator Dahms moved the A-5 delete all amendment. Motion prevailed. Senator Dahms presented Senate File 972 as amended. Grace Arnold, Interim Commission of Commerce, testified on Senate File 972 as amended. Discussion.

Senator Franzen moved the A-9 amendment. Casey Muhm, Senate Analyst, explained the A-9 amendment. Discussion. Senator Franzen withdrew the A-9 amendment.

Senator Port moved the A-8 amendment. Discussion. The amendment was not adopted.

Senator Dahms moved that S.F. 972, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee. - MOTION CARRIED.
