A bill for an act relating to higher education; establishing a loan forgiveness program for mental health professionals; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 136A.
Senator Jasinski moved the author's amendment, SCS0042A-1 (see attached). The MOTION PREVAILED and the A-1 AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Following discussion, the Chair announced that S.F. 42, as amended, would be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus Higher Education bill.

A bill for an act relating to human services; moving the spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury research grant program to the Department of Human Services; appropriating money; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 256; repealing Minnesota Statutes 2020, sections 136A.901; 136A.902.
Senator Housley read a letter in support of S.F. 1418 submitted by Jack Jablonski, a former Minnesota high school hockey player who was paralyzed during a game in 2011 (see handout #2).

A bill for an act relating to higher education; establishing grant and waiver programs for certain students formerly in foster care; transferring money; requiring reports; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 136A.
Senator Rarick moved the author's delete all amendment, SCS1306A-1 (see attached). The MOTION PREVAILED and the A-1 AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
