Chair Osmek called the meeting into order at 1:06 PM Senator Bruce Anderson presented SF 2840 Electrical grid vulnerability to solar storms study requirement and appropriation Gale Nordling, Emprimus testified Nick Ruehl, City of Excelsior testified A quorum was present Dan Wolf, Public Utilities Commission testified Senator Marty moved that SF 2840 be sent to the Finance Committee without recommendation Motion failed on voice vote Senator Mathews moved that SF 2840 be recommended to pass and sent to the Finance Committee Motion prevailed on voice vote Senator Goggin presents SF 3558 Mike Myser, Energy Platforms testified Jamie Fitzke, Center for Energy and Environment testified Bill Grant, Department of Commerce testified Senator Marty moved to amend SF 3558 On page 2 line 1 strike “must,” replace with “may” On page 2 line 10 strike “consists of four members, with” replace with “shall include, but is not limited to, stakeholders representative of” On page 2 line 11 strike “and the commissioner each appointing” On page 2 line 12 strike “one member” replace with “energy conservation organizations, and businesses that work in energy efficiency.” Strike “appointed utility” Voice motion prevailed Senator Goggin moved that SF 3558 as amended be recommended to pass and placed on general orders Voice motion prevailed

S.F. 2840: Senator Anderson: Electrical grid vulnerability to solar storms study requirement and appropriation.



Senator Mathews moved that S.F. 2840, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 3558: Senator Goggin: Energy conservation utility stakeholder group establishment.



As amended, be recommended to pass.
