Senator Chris Eaton called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m. S.F. 272-Rest: State band free rehearsal and storage space. Senator Pappas moved the Senator Rest will offer the A-1. MOTION PREVAILED. Testifiers: Craig Allen, President, Minnesota State Band Senator Dahle moved that SF 272 be recommended to pass as amended and sent to the floor. MOTION PREVAILED. S.F. 280-Metzen: Labor agreements and compensation plans ratification. Senator Scalze moved that SF 280 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. MOTION PREVAILED. S.F. 253-Sheran: Interstate medical licensure compact. Testifiers: Teresa Knoedler (pronounced “Kuh-nade-ler”), Minnesota Medical Assoc. Jon Thomas, MD, Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Senator Wiklund moved that SF 253 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary Policy Committee. MOTION PREVAILED. S.F. 348-Johnson, A.Legislative surrogacy commission establishment. Senator Johnson offered the A-2 delete-all author’s amendment. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Petersen moved an oral amendment to the A 2 amendment to delete “and draft legislation to implement its recommendation” in page 2 line 19 and add “the report may include draft legislation to implement its recommendations” in page 2 line 21 of the A 2. MOTION PREVAILED. Testifiers: Kathryn Mollen, Minnesota Catholic Conference Dr. Matthew Anderson, Obstetrics and Gynecology Elisa Gomez, Parent Jessica Kern, Child of Surrogacy (in opposition) Steven H. Snyder, Esq. Claire Nielsen (note, she is not on the agenda but would like to testify) Senator Pappas moved to table SF 348. Senator Thompson requested a roll call. With 6 Nays and 5 Ayes. MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL. Senator Dahle moved to lay SF 348 over. Senator Hall requested a roll call. With 7 Ayes and 4 Nays. MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 272: Senator Rest: State band free rehearsal and storage space.



Senator Pappas moved that S.F. 272, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 253: Senator Sheran: Interstate medical licensure compact.



Senator Wiklund moved that S.F. 253, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the . - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 280: Senator Metzen: Labor agreements and compensation plans ratification.



Senator Scalze moved that S.F. 280, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 348: Senator Johnson: Legislative surrogacy commission establishment.



Senator Dahle moved that S.F. 348, as amended, be laid over. - MOTION PREVAILED.
