Senator Chris Eaton called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m. S.F. 272-Rest: State band free rehearsal and storage space. Senator Pappas moved the Senator Rest will offer the A-1. MOTION PREVAILED. Testifiers: Craig Allen, President, Minnesota State Band Senator Dahle moved that SF 272 be recommended to pass as amended and sent to the floor. MOTION PREVAILED. S.F. 280-Metzen: Labor agreements and compensation plans ratification. Senator Scalze moved that SF 280 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. MOTION PREVAILED. S.F. 253-Sheran: Interstate medical licensure compact. Testifiers: Teresa Knoedler (pronounced “Kuh-nade-ler”), Minnesota Medical Assoc. Jon Thomas, MD, Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Senator Wiklund moved that SF 253 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary Policy Committee. MOTION PREVAILED. S.F. 348-Johnson, A.Legislative surrogacy commission establishment. Senator Johnson offered the A-2 delete-all author’s amendment. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Petersen moved an oral amendment to the A 2 amendment to delete “and draft legislation to implement its recommendation” in page 2 line 19 and add “the report may include draft legislation to implement its recommendations” in page 2 line 21 of the A 2. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Dahle moved to lay SF 348 over. Senator Hall requested a roll call. With 7 Ayes and 4 Nays. MOTION PREVAILED.
