Senator James P. Metzen called the meeting to order at 12:00PM. Senator Kari Dziedzic presents S.F. 1964. Pappas moves the A-3 Author\'s Amendment. Voice vote, motion prevailed. Jacob Frey, Minneapolis City Council Ward 3 Questions from Gazelka Kristine Arenson, Deuty Police Chief of Minneapolis. Crime due to stolen phones. Greg Hestness, Police Chief, University of Minnesota. On campus crime Questions Brown, Latz. Peter Coyle, Larkin Hoffman, representing T-Mobile. Paul Wiertz, State President of Minnesota Questions Brown, Latz, Gazelka. Latz rec. Bruce Nusted, Minnesota Retailers Association. Latz moves that S.F. 1964 be rec. to pass as amended and be re-referred to the Jobs, Agriculture, and Rural Development. Voice vote. Senator James Metzen presents S.F.1689 Dan Johnson, Executive Director of FAIR Plan. Questions Gazelka, Brown. Bruce Anderson, Manager of SEIGIP, PIEP, MMB - Argues that employees are not state employees. Questions Gazelka, Dahms, Brown. Metzen moves that S.F. 1689 be rec. to pass and re-referred toState and Local Government. Voice vote, motion carries. Brown and Housely ney.

S.F. 1964: Senator Dziedzic: Wireless communication devices acquisition and resale requirements establishment.



Senator Latz moved that S.F. 1964, as amended, be recommended to pass.

S.F. 1689: Senator Metzen: Minnesota FAIR plan employees benefits authorization.



Senator Metzen moved that S.F. 1689, be recommended to pass.
