Senator Tony Lourey called the meeting to order at 8:46 a.m. Senator Eken presented S.F. 792, Nursing facility and elderly waiver rate increases. Senator Eken moved the A-2 Amendment. MOTION PREVAILEDD. Senator Sheran moved an oral amendment, on line 1.20 strike “sustained”. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Eken moved that S.F. 792 as amended be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. MOTION PREVAILED. Testifiers: Tom Pollock, Park River Estates John Reiwer, CEO, Eventide Bob Held, Department of Human Services (DHS) Heidi Holste, Care Providers and Long-Term Care Imperative Mary Jo George, AARP Senator Hoffman presented S.F. 553, Long-term care facilities provide rate modifications repeal. Senator Sheran moved the A-1 Amendment. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Sheran moved that S.F. 553 as amended be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Lourey presented S.F. 1034, Omnibus Health and Human Services Bill. Senator Sheran moved the A-8 Amendment. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Lourey laid over S.F. 1034.
