Senator Benson moved an oral amendment to delete Section 1. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Hayden moved an oral amendment on line 6.1, after the $, insert “1.434 million”. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Hayden moved that S.F. 1117 as amended be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Clausen moved the A-2 Amendment. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Benson moved an oral amendment on line 2.2, after the “;” insert “who is not eligible for an early education”. MOTION WITHDRAWN. Senator Clausen moved that S.F. 267 as amended be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Rosen offered an oral amendment: on line 1.21 after “employed” insert “, unemployed due to a disability as defined in section 259.01, subd 14,” and delete the new language and on line 1.22, delete the new language and after the period insert “Documentation from a qualified expert that is dated within the last 12 months must be provided to verify the disability.” MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Rosen moved that S.F. 402 as amended be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. MOTION PREVAILED. Testifiers: Christeen Borsheim, DHS Senator Lourey presented S.F. 1159, Children safe and healthy development, child care programs, human services licensing, background studies, foster care, and Minnesota family investment program (MFIP) modifications; Northstar Care for Children Act. Senator Lourey moved the A-5 Amendment. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Hayden moved the A-6 Amendment. Senator Hayden moved an oral amendment to the A-5 Amendment, to delete Section 55 and on line 1.32 and 1.33 delete everything after “pacifier.” and on line 2.25 after the word “care” insert “on a form made available by the commissioner”. The oral amendment was adopted. Senator moved adoption of the A-6 Amendment as amended. Senator Brown requested Roll Call. The MOTION PREVAILED on a 6-5 vote. Senator Lourey moved that S.F. 1159 be laid over. Senator Lourey laid over S.F 1034.

Senator Lourey moved that S.F. 1159, as amended, be laid over.

S.F. 1117: Senator Marty: Minnesota family investment program (MFIP) change to Minnesota families and children assistance program (MFCAP); child care assistance and MFIP programs modification and appropriation.



Senator Hayden moved that S.F. 1117, as amended, laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 165: Senator Eaton: Minnesota family investment program (MFIP) transitional standard cash portion increase.



Senator Hayden moved that S.F. 165, be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 245: Senator Eaton: Minnesota family investment program (MFIP) family cap repeal.



Senator Sheran moved that S.F. 245, be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 267: Senator Clausen: Minnesota family investment program (MFIP)eligibility expansion to child-only cases in households with primary caregiver diagnosed with depression or mental illness.



Senator Clausen moved that S.F. 267, as amended, recommended to pass and maybe considered for omnibus bill. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 402: Senator Rosen: Adoption assistance program modification.



Senator Rosen moved that S.F. 402, as amended, laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. - MOTION PREVAILED.

Senator Lourey moved that S.F. 1034, as discussed, laid over.
