Senator Torres Ray called to meeting to order at 12:10 p.m. A quorum is present. SF 799 (Johnson) - Students per school counselors minimum ratios establishment. Senator Johnson moves the A13 amendment. Motion prevails and amendment is adopted. Testifiers: 1. Dr. Walter Roberts , Jr., Professor of Counselor Education, Minnesota State University, Mankato. 2. Vanessa Young, member, Students for Education Reform 3. Tasha Gandy, Students for Education Reform 4. Kenneth Eban, Students for Education Reform 5. Gary Armoso, Association of School Administrators Senator Johnson moves the A 13 amendment and incorporates an oral amendment to delete ‘50%’ and substitute with ‘150%’ on page 1, line 22. MOTION PREVAILED Senator Johnson moves an oral amendment to the A 13 amendment to delete the word ‘maintain’ and replace it with ‘increase’ on page 1, line 10. MOTION PREVAILED Senator Torres Ray moves the A3 amendment. MOTION PREVAILED Senator Johnson renews her motion to moves that SF 799 be recommended to pass as amended and re referred to Finance.
