Senator Torres Ray called to meeting to order at 12:15 p.m. A quorum is present. Senator Carlson (S.F. 950)- Deaf and hard-of-hearing teachers continuing education clock hour requirements modifications. Testifiers: 1. Karen Balmer, Exec. Dir.,Board of Teaching 2. Jeff Fehrman, Pricipal, Northeast Metro Intermediate School District 916. Senator Carlson moves to make an oral amendment to S.F. 950 to delete the word ‘or’ and replace it with the word ‘and’ in page 1, line 16.MOTION PREVAILED Senator Carlson moves that S.F. 950 be recommended to pass as amended and be sent to the floor. MOTION PREVAILED S.F.1083 (Senator Clausen) School district restrictive procedures use for children with disabilities clarification. Senator Clausen moves the A13 amendment. Senator Nelson withdraws her amendment. Senator Nelson moves the A3 amendment. Senator Clausen offers an oral amendment to the A3 amendment that after the word ‘reading ‘ delete ‘or’ and insert ‘,’ after mathematics insert ‘, and writing’on page 1, line 3. MOTION PREVAILED Senator Nelson requests a roll call on the A 3 amendment as amended.
