Senator Torres ray called the meeting to order at 12:03. A quorum is present. SF 783 (Dibble) - Safe and Supportive Minnesota Schools Act. Senator Torres Ray moves the A 9 (delete all amendment). Senator Nienow moves to offer an oral amendment to insert the words “religious expressions” and after “of” in page 8 line 22 of the A9 amendment. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Nienow moves the A 10 amendment. Senator Thompson requests a roll call on this motion. Ayes: Nelson, Chamberlain, Nienow, Petersen, Ruud, Thompson. Nayes: Torres Ray, Dahle, Carlson, Clausen, Franzen, Johnson, Kent, Wiger, Wiklund. With 6 ayes and 9 nays, MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL. Senator Chamberlain moves the A 11 amendment. Senator Chamberlain requests a roll call on this motion. Ayes: Nelson, Chamberlain, Nienow, Petersen, Ruud, Thompson. Nayes: Torres Ray, Dahle, Carlson, Clausen, Franzen, Johnson, Kent, Wiger, Wiklund. With 6 ayes and 9 nays, MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL. Senator Wiger moves, SF 783 (Dibble) - Safe and Supportive Minnesota Schools Act, to pass as amended and re-referred to the Judiciary Committee. Senator Thompson requests a roll call on this motion. Ayes: Torres Ray, Dahle, Carlson, Clausen, Franzen, Johnson, Kent, Wiger, Wiklund. Nays: Nelson, Chamberlain, Nienow, Petersen, Ruud, Thompson, With 6 ayes and 9 nays, MOTION PREVAILED.
