SSenator Petersen (excused) Senator Chamberlain Senator Torres Ray calls the meeting to order at 12:13 p.m. A quorum is present. S.F. 410: Senator Clausen: Adult high school diploma requirements standardized and advisory task force establishment. Testifiers: 1. Scott Croonquist, Exec. Dir., Assoc. of Metropolitan School Districts 2. Randy Clegg, Superintendent, Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 3. Vicky Roy, Community Volunteer, Chair of the Burnsville Community Literacy Committee, and former Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School Board Member. 4. Tom Umhoefer, Director of Community Education, Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District Senator Clausen moves that, S.F. 410 (Clausen) Adult high school diploma requirements standardized and advisory task force establishment, be recommended to pass as amended and be re-referred to the State and Local Government Committee. MOTION PREVAILED. S.F. 419: Senator Clausen: School district compensatory revenue use for early education efforts and parental outreach authorization. Senator Clausen moves the A1 amendment. MOTION PREVAILED. Testifiers: 1. Tom Cytron-Hysom, Legislative Chair, The Literacy Action Network 2. Eric Lind, Manager, Adult Basic Education, Rosemount/Apple Valley/Eagan School District Senator Clausen moves that, S.F. 419 (Clausen) School district compensatory revenue use for early education efforts and parental outreach authorization is recommended to pass as amended and be re-referred to the Finance Committee. MOTION PREVAILED.
