She requested a roll call. The roll was taken and the A-80 Amendment failed on a vote of 7-4. Senator Lourey offered the A-75 Amendment. Senator Rosen offered the A-90 Amendment to the A-75 Amendment. Senator Rosen moved an oral amendment to the A-75 Amendment: Page 1, line 1.7 strike “committee member requests” and insert “majority of the committee members request”. The motion prevailed. Senator Benson that the A-75 Amendment be divided. Senator Rosen moved that the A-75 Amendment, as amended, be adopted. She requested a roll call vote. The roll was taken and the A-75Amendment was defeated 7-4. The A-75 Amendment was divided. Senator Benson moved that Page 1, Line 1.14 through 1.17 be adopted. The motion prevailed and the A-75 Amendment as divided was adopted. Senator Lourey moved the A-90 Amendment as amended be adopted. The motion prevailed and the Amendment was adopted. Senator Kiffmeyer offered the A-86 Amendment. She offered an oral amendment to the amendment on Page 1, line 1.11 strike “may” and insert must” and moved the amendment as amended be adopted. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted. Senator Lourey offered the A-89 Amendment. He moved the A-89 Amendment be adopted. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted. Senator Benson offered the A-87 Amendment. Senator Benson withdrew the A-87 Amendment. Senator Rosen offered the A-91 Amendment. Senator Rosen moved the A-91 Amendment be adopted. The motion prevailed and the A-87 Amendment was adopted. Senator Franzen recessed the meeting until 5:45 p.m. Senator Franzen called the meeting to order at 5:46 p.m. Senator Benson offered the A-82 Amendment. Senator Benson moved the A-82 Amendment be adopted. The motion did not prevail. Senator Benson offered the A-78 Amendment. Senator Benson offered an oral amendment to the A-78 Amendment: On Line 1.4, after risk-bearing, insert “(a) On Line 1.5 after providers insert “to pay claims. (b) Nothing in this subdivision shall prevent the Minnesota Insurance Marketplace from providing insurance for its employees.” Senator Benson moved the A-78 Amendment as amended be recommended to pass. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted. Senator Lourey moved that S.F. 1 as amended be recommended to pass to the Finance Committee. The motion prevailed and the bill was passed to the Finance Committee.

S.F. 1: Senator Lourey: Minnesota Insurance Marketplace Act (pending passage in other divisions of jurisdiction).



Senator Lourey moved that S.F. 1, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION ADOPTED.
