Senator Tony Lourey called the meeting to order at 8:45 a.m. Senator Sheran presented S.F. 5, Medical Assistance (MA) eligibility expansion. Public testimony on S.F. 5: 1. Dr. Michael Belzer, Medical Director, Hennepin County Medical Center 2. Ana Ashby, Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis 3. Mary Krinkie, Minnesota Hospital Association 4. Christina Wessel, Minnesota Budget Project 5. Ron Elwood, Legal Services Advocacy Project 6. Joel Ulland, UCare 7. Phil Griffin, MN Association of Community Health Centers 8. Dave Renner, Minnesota Medical Association 9. Barbara Cox, Health Partners 10. Linda Sandvig, Safety-Net Coalition Senator Sheran moved the A-9 Amendment. The amendment was adopted. Senator Benson moved the A-8 Amendment. The amendment was not adopted. Senator Sheran moved that S.F. 5 as amended be recomended to pass to Finance Committee. The motion prevailed.

S.F. 5: Senator Sheran: Medical assistance (MA) eligibility expansion, modified adjusted gross income and standard income disregard use requirement; appropriation.



Be recommended to pass as amended and referred to Finance Committee.
