Absent: Senator Terri E. Bonoff, Senator Barb Goodwin

Senator Claire A. Robling called the meeting to order at 8:38am. Senator Bonoff was excused from Committee.

S.F. 1528: Senator Nelson: Teachers 21st century tools; students online course encouragement; online learning advisory council provisions modifications.



Senator Magnus moved that S.F. 1528, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 1140: Senator Parry: Motor vehicle license plate placement clarification.



Senator Parry moved that S.F. 1140, be recommended to pass. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 393: Senator Tomassoni: Retired firefighters special motor vehicle license plates.



Senator Higgins moved that S.F. 393, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 1260: Senator Kruse: County publication requirements modifications; Ramsey county community corrections department duties modifications; collective bargaining agreement on aggregate value of benefits modifications; local provisions repeal.



Senator Robling moved that S.F. 1260, be laid on the table. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 1072: Senator Gimse: Miscellaneous transportation provisions.



Senator Magnus moved that S.F. 1072, be recommended to pass. - MOTION ADOPTED.

*Please note: SF 393 and SF 1260 were heard and passed by the Finance Committee last year. After adjournment of the 2011 regular session, the identical bills were returned to the Committee. Public testimony on these bills has already taken place during committee consideration in the 2011 session. If an amendment is offered, the chair will allow testimony limited to the amendment.
