Senator Richard J. Cohen called the meeting to order at 8:52 a.m. A quorum was present Senator Cohen passed the gavel to Senator Berglin at 9:20 a.m. Senator Cohen assumed the gavel at 9:34 a.m.

S.F. 2383: Senator Dille: Minnesota couples on the brink project establishment; premarital education statements notary public (notarized) license requirement removal; marriage license fee disposition modification.



Senator Dille moved that S.F. 2383, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION CARRIED.

S.F. 2682: Senator Erickson Ropes: Fillmore county veterans cemetery funding.



Senator Vickerman moved that S.F. 2682, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION CARRIED.

S.F. 2493: Senator Moua: Crime of identity theft expansion to include scanning and reencoder use to acquire information from payment cards.



Senator Murphy moved that S.F. 2493, be recommended to pass. - MOTION CARRIED.

S.F. 2880: Senator Moua: State Guardian Ad Litem board establishment.



Senator Higgins moved that S.F. 2880, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION CARRIED.

S.F. 2725: Senator Moua: Gang and drug oversight council name change to violent crime oversight council; multijurisdictional gang and drug task forces certification process; criminal gang investigative data systems; intrastate data classification; cell phone tracking devices.



Senator Pappas moved that S.F. 2725, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION CARRIED.

S.F. 2634: Senator Moua: Forfeiture of seized property procedure modification.



Senator Anderson moved that S.F. 2634, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION CARRIED.

S.F. 2620: Senator Bonoff: Service innovation commission establishment.



Senator Wiger moved that S.F. 2620, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Rules and Administration Committee. - MOTION CARRIED.

Senator Berglin moved that S.F. 487, be laid on the table. - MOTION CARRIED.

Senator Berglin moved that S.F. 560, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION CARRIED.

S.F. 2874: Senator Pogemiller: State government streamlining; employment and economic development (DEED) and labor and industry departments abolishment; task force and employee participation committee establishment; Taxpayers Accountability Act.



Senator Murphy moved that S.F. 2874, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION CARRIED.

Senator Pappas moved that S.F. 3079, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION CARRIED.

Senator Wiger moved that S.F. 2496, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Rules and Administration Committee. - MOTION CARRIED.

Senator Betzold moved that S.F. 214, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION CARRIED.
