Senator Ron Latz called the meeting to order at 10:08 am.

S.F. 2587: Senator Newman: Motor vehicle forfeiture multiple owner inclusion.



Senator Newman moved that S.F. 2587, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 2340: Senator Wiklund: All-payer claims data continued use by the commissioner of health authorization.


S.F. 2404: Senator Marty: Resolution memorializing Congress to clarify rights protected under the Constitution are the rights of natural persons and not the rights of artificial entities and that spending money to influence elections is not speech under the First Amendment, etc.



Senator Dziedzic moved that S.F. 2404, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Rules and Administration Committee.

S.F. 2667: Senator Latz: [The bill will be amended to require the DOC to study implementation and report back to the legislature prior to the 2017 session] Earned compliance credit program for persons under correctional supervision.



Senator Latz moved that S.F. 2667, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 2923: Senator Nelson: Harassment restraining orders provisions modifications.



Senator Goodwin moved that S.F. 2923, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 2680: Senator Latz: [The bill was rescheduled from the 3/17 Judiciary agenda] Felony assaults motivated by bias maximum penalty increase.



Senator Latz moved that S.F. 2680, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 2729: Senator Latz: Crimes motivated by bias enhanced penalties creation.
