| EMPLOYEE FREEDOM HEARING SET FOR MONDAY | ||||||||||||
St. Paul- The Minnesota Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on Senate File 1705, the Employee Freedom constitutional amendment on Monday, March 12. The hearing will be held in room 15 in the Capitol building at 8:00 am. Senator Dave Thompson, chief author of the Employee Freedom constitutional amendment, gave the following statement on the progression of the bill.
“All Minnesotans should have the freedom to choose whether or not to be represented by a union or pay union dues. This is a fundamental liberty issue. Public input and participation is an important part of this process. I am excited to move this bill, which would give the people an opportunity to decide this issue themselves on November 6.”
