| SENATOR JULIANNE ORTMAN ANNOUNCES UPCOMING INFORMATIONAL HEARINGS TO DISCUSS VIKINGS STADIUM |
St. Paul – Senator Julianne Ortman (R-Chanhassen) has announced that the Minnesota Senate will hold two upcoming informational hearings to explore the Vikings Stadium issue.
The first will be a joint hearing of the Senate Tax and Local Government & Elections Committees and is scheduled for Tuesday, November 29. The second will be a joint hearing of the Senate Tax and State Government Innovation & Veterans Committees and is scheduled for Tuesday, December 6.
Senator Ortman will serve as the committee chair for both hearings.
“We are holding these hearings to invite the public and interested parties to come and testify and offer their views. It is an issue that people are very passionate about. We need to let these legislative committees do the work they’re designed to do. Based on information provided to these committees, we will determine if there is consensus for further action,” said Senator Ortman.
The hearing location, time and agenda details will be released at a later date.
