| SENATE MAJORITY LEADER AMY KOCH ACKNOWLEDGES VETERANS FOR THEIR SERVICE AND SACRIFICE | ||||||||||||
St. Paul- On Veterans Day 2011, Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch (R-Buffalo), a Veteran of the United States Air Force, shared her message of gratitude and respect for those who have bravely fought on behalf of our country.
“Today we honor the service and the sacrifice of America’s veterans. Without the bravery and dedication of our military men and women, our nation would be far from great. I am forever grateful to all those who have worn the uniform and to their loved ones back home who have prayed for their safe return,” said Senator Koch.
“As a legislator, I have worked to ensure our veterans’ selfless contributions do not go unrecognized. This year, I authored a bill creating a special license plate for women veterans in Minnesota. I also co-sponsored legislation to support improvements at the disabled veterans rest camp on Big Marine Lake in Washington County and legislation making it easier for military personnel on leave to obtain hunting licenses,” added Senator Koch. “I will continue to identify ways, big and small, for us to support veterans in our communities.”
“Join me this Veterans Day in offering thanks to those who have fought and those who continue the fight to defend our nation’s freedom,” concluded Senator Koch.
