| SENATE REPUBLICANS TOUR HIGHER EDUCATION CAMPUSES, MEET WITH FACULTY AND STUDENTS | ||||||||||||
(St. Paul) – Senate Higher Education Committee Chair Michelle Fischbach (R-Paynesville) will visit higher education campuses to meet with administrators and students on Friday, September 9. She will be joined by Senators Michael Jungbauer (R-East Bethel) and Benjamin Kruse (R-Brooklyn Park).
The legislators will discuss solutions and listen to ideas to encourage the long-term health and effectiveness of Minnesota’s higher education system.
“With ‘back to school’ activities in high gear across our state, I look forward to visiting Anoka Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids this week. I am hopeful that our tour and meetings with school leaders will provide valuable insight into their program and we can bring that knowledge back to the Capitol for the 2012 Session,” said Senator Kruse.
Sen. Fischbach will begin the day at North Hennepin Community College with a tour led by President John O’Brien. Sen. Jungbauer will join Sen. Fischbach at Anoka Technical College, and Sen. Kruse will join at the Anoka Ramsey Community College visit.
Sen. Fischbach and area legislators will continue to visit campuses throughout the state over the next several weeks.
