| SENATOR INGEBRIGTSEN RECEIVES AWARD OF GRATITUDE FROM MN LAW ENFORCEMENT MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION | ||||||||||||
(ST. PAUL) -- Sen. Bill Ingebrigtsen (R-Alexandria) received an award of gratitude from the Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association (LEMA). Members of the association presented the award to Sen. Ingebrigtsen on Tuesday, June 21 in St. Paul at the Law Enforcement Memorial Monument.
Sen. Ingebrigtsen was presented with a framed print of an artist’s rendering of the Law Enforcement Memorial Monument, located on Capitol grounds, in appreciation for his participation as the keynote speaker at the group’s Ecumenical Church Service held in May.
LEMA is dedicated to assisting the families and home agencies of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. The group is composed of police officers, survivors and friends of fallen officers who volunteer their time. LEMA also honors families and fallen officers during National Law Enforcement Memorial Week.
Sen. Ingebrigtsen served 34 years in law enforcement, with 16 of those as the Douglas County Sheriff.
