| SENATE ENVIRONMENT CHAIR BILL INGEBRIGTSEN: GOVERNOR’S SIGNATURE A WELCOME SIGN FOR BUSINESSES, JOB CREATORS | ||||||||||||
(ST. PAUL) – Governor Dayton signed legislation to streamline and reform Minnesota’s environmental review and permitting procedures.
Senate Environment Chair Bill Ingebrigtsen (R-Alexandria) stated, “I am pleased to learn that Governor Dayton has signed this straightforward legislation which addresses a key concern expressed by people and businesses throughout the state. After passing with bi-partisan support in the Senate and House, reinforced by the recent Legislative Auditor’s findings and now signed by the Governor, Minnesotans can trust this was the right thing to do.
“We thank the Governor and our colleagues in both chambers and from both parties for their work in achieving this reform. By removing bureaucratic red tape and creating more stability in the permitting and review process, these reforms are an important step toward creating a more jobs-friendly business climate here in Minnesota. We look forward to continually improving this process as we seek to move at the speed of commerce and put people back to work.”
