(ST. PAUL) -- Gary Dahms of Redwood Falls was sworn in Tuesday as Minnesota’s 87th legislative session began. Joined by 36 fellow Republican senators, Republicans are now in the Senate majority for the first time in over thirty years.
“It is an honor and a privilege to serve the residents of District 21 as their Senator,” remarked Senator Dahms. “I look forward to working for the constituents of my district and with my fellow colleagues as we seek common sense goals of an improved business climate, a balanced budget and a more efficient and effective government.”
A Redwood Falls businessman and former Redwood County Commissioner, Senator Dahms will serve as the Vice Chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Rural Economies Budget and Policy Committee in the new majority. He also serves on the Environment and Natural Resources and Commerce and Consumer Protection Committees.
