In Touch With Senator Pappas

Hello and welcome to my “In Touch” profile.  By using this webpage, it is my hope that you will be able to get a better understanding of who I am as both a senator and a member of the Twin Cities community.  By utilizing the hyperlinks on the left-hand side of the screen you can access my extended biography, issues of special significance to me, my bi-weekly e-newsletter, current legislative reports, as well as important media and governmental updates.

The most helpful and important information that is accessible on the “In Touch” profile can be found under the ‘Communicate’ sub-heading.  There, you will be able to find current information that is consistently updated for your benefit.

-          Weekly Update’ allows you to view my bi-weekly e-newsletter which outlines the session’s progression, the status of my bills, and supplemental information about community events and ways to get involved in Minnesota’s vibrant political scene

-          Reports’ includes comprehensive updates on legislative committee activity each week of the session from agriculture to wind energy

In addition to these options, there are links that will allow you to view and listen to media clips from the Capitol.  Media clips provide links to live coverage of the legislature at work as well as past senate floor sessions and committee hearings.  These media links should help you remain informed on the everyday happenings at the Capitol.  I have also provided links to government websites ranging from local city and county websites to the U.S. Congress and the White House.

While the “In Touch” profile is a relatively new option on the Senate website, it is evolving into a good resource for voters to gain a better understanding of what goes on at the Capitol while encouraging all legislators to be more accountable to their districts.
