| Governor Ventura, Senator John Hottinger, and Representative Fran Bradley announce a newly
created Joint Task Force on Health Care Costs and Quality to study the escalating costs and quality
of health care in Minnesota. Commissioner of Health, Jan Malcolm, and Commissioner of Human
Services, Michael O'Keefe, were also present.
The Task Force consists of members of the Legislature and the Administration who will examine ways to reform Minnesota's health care system and address future needs. The Governor also announced the creation of a Community Advisory Group made up of policy leaders, providers, business owners and consumers to provide input to the Joint Task Force. |
