| The Conference Committee heard testimony on HF 2214 - financing for a major league baseball stadium. Various officials testified regarding the construction and financing of a new stadium including: the City of Minneapolis, the Hennepin County Commissioners, the City of Brooklyn Park, the City of St. Paul, the Minnesota Vikings, the University of Minnesota, the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission, the Minnesota Twins, and the Department of Finance. Representative Harry Mares and Senator Dean E. Johnson served as co-chairs. The Conference Committee will reconvene on Monday, April 8, 2002. |
