About the Bill:
Prompted by the death of Officer Ted Fosse of the State Patrol, this bill requires motorist to move to the lane farthest from an emergency vehicle stopped on the shoulder of the road. Funds are appropriated for public awareness education and violations may constitute a petty misdemeanor. Senator Sheila Kiscaden, R-Rochester, authored Senate File 0387.

The bill passed and was referred to the Transportation and Public Safety Budget Division.
