| Primary Responsibilities: |
-
Runs errands throughout the Capitol complex for Senators during committee meetings and office staff when meetings are not being conducted.
-
Assists in preparation of materials for meetings.
-
Distributes materials and cleans up after meetings.
-
Provides clerical, messenger and administrative support to committee staff and members.
-
Assists members and Front Desk staff in Chamber during floor sessions.
-
Other duties as assigned.

| Qualifications: |
-
College degree or equivalent experience as well as some work experience.
-
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access & Excel) preferred.
-
Working knowledge of the Legislative process preferred.
-
Ability to work long hours and under pressure.
-
Strong interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to learn quickly and retain information.
-
Ability to accept responsibility, follow directions and perform assigned tasks.
-
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
-
Ability to maintain confidentiality and to handle politically sensitive work with maturity.
