        S.F. No. 2498 amends the statute related to screening for a co-occurring disorder treatment. Under paragraph (a), the bill requires that if a person screens positive for a co-occurring mental health or substance abuse disorder the individual performing the screening document what actions will be taken in response to the results and whether further assessments must be performed.  New paragraph (b) specifies when the screening under paragraph (a) is not required.
