Section 1. Uses of health and safety revenue.  Allows health and safety revenue to be used for security improvements directly related to the physical safety of students and staff; facility security features and enhancements; and limited facility modifications directly related to violence prevention and facility security.

Section 2. Projects to enhance student and staff safety.  Allows a school board to include safety-related improvement projects in its health and safety revenue program if they have been approved by the commissioner. The school board must demonstrate that the facility improvements are the most cost-effective way to increase the physical safety of students and staff.
