Section 1, subdivision 1 provides definitions for purposes of the bill.

Section 2 exempts an owner and employees of a self-service storage facility from insurance agent licensing requirements with respect to the sale of personal property insurance covering property stored at that facility. Disclosure requirements are specified. An owner is required to provide a training program that gives employees and agents basic instruction about the provisions of the act. An owner is allowed to receive a commission on the sale of this insurance.
