This bill increases the credit allowed under current law for amounts paid for long term care insurance premiums that have not been included in calculating federal taxable income.  The credit is increased from 25 percent of eligible premiums to 50 percent, and the maximum credit per beneficiary is increased from $100 to $200.  Married joint filers may claim up to $400 (increased from $200) and all other filers may claim up to $200 (increased from $100).  Effective beginning in tax year 2015.
