Section 1 (145.4716, subdivision 2) modifies the safe harbor for sexually exploited youth law that was passed last session, by expanding the duties of the director to include managing the request for proposals for grants for comprehensive services, including trauma-informed, culturally specific services.

Section 2 appropriates $1,000,000 to the Commissioner of Human Services for safe harbor shelter and housing, and $1,500,000 to the Commissioner of Health for grants for comprehensive services, including trauma-informed, culturally specific services, for sexually exploited youth.
