|
This bill increases the maximum fee that may be charged by a notary public for various services from $1 to $5. With the author’s amendment, it would be effective August 1, 2014, and apply to notary services provided on or after that date.
The last time the maximum fees were increased was in 1983, when they were raised from 10 - 25 cents for various services to $1.
