S.F. 843 allows counties, cities, and towns to advertisebids for improvements projects in a recognized industry trade journal.

Section 1 provides a definition of "recognized industry trade journal." The definition is added to the chapter of law that deals with qualified newspapers and the related procedures and requirements.

Section 2 specifies that when a county, city, or town is required to advertise bids for improvement projects, the advertisement may be published in a newspaper or in a recognized industry trade journal. Current law allows for publication in a newspaper or "such other papers." The description of "such a trade paper" is deleted.
