Section 1.  Ages and Terms. Increases the compulsory attendance age from 16 to 18 beginning in the 2014-2015 school year.

Section 2.  Assessment of Performance.  Increases the age for assessments required of students enrolled in nonpublic schools from 16 to 18 beginning in the 2014-2015 school year. 

Section 3.  Reports to Superintendent.  Increases the compulsory attendance age from 16 to 18 for students who attend nonpublic schools beginning in the 2014-2015 school year.

Section 4.  Termination of Enrollment.  Strikes a reference to the process for withdrawal from school for students between the ages of 16 to 18 beginning in the 2014-2015 school year.

Section 5. Habitual Truant.  Amends the definition of habitual truant to conform to the increase in the compulsory instruction age to 18 beginning in the 2014-2015 school year.

Section 6. Repealer.  Repeals section 120A.22, subdivision 8 (withdrawal from school) for the 2014- 2015 school year and later.
