This bill authorizes an exemption from property taxes for property located in a city of the first class, owned by a federally recognized Indian tribe within Minnesota, and used for noncommercial tribal purposes. ‘Tribal purposes’ is defined as tribal government activities and services to members of the tribe.

Effective for taxes payable in 2013 and thereafter.
