The A-6 delete-everything amendment requires the Commissioner of Human Services to identify and coordinate with one or more counties that agree to issue a license for foster care for individuals with autism (1) who are currently receiving waivered services; (2) who are in out-of-home placement; (3) who are in need of continuous supervision; and (4) whose needs cannot be met in their current residential setting or in any other existing setting.  The commissioner shall issue a request for information to identify providers who have training and skills to meet the needs of persons with autism.  The commissioner must provide advice to providers that respond to the request for information, who request or who the commissioner determines need additional skills development resources.
