S.F. No. 2334 (First Engrossment) amends the reporting requirements for principals in the campaign finance and public disclosure chapter of law.  Currently, cases of rate setting, power plant and power line siting, and granting of certificates of need for large energy facilities are defined as “administrative action” that requires financial disclosure reporting if a principal spends money to influence these types of action.  This bill provides a principal that must report this type of spending must report the amounts separately from the other reported amount, rather than including the amount in the total spending by the principal for all types of lobbying activities.
